- The MMC (male main character) rescues women and children that are kidnapped, trafficked, in DV situations, etc 

- I say 'Mention' because the topic is not heavily discussed. The characters in the book have jobs that come in contact with these situations. Unless stated the topic is not prevalent in this novel.
